CMed provides medical cannabis evaluations to patients living in the states we serve who have a diagnosed qualifying condition as per state guidelines. All patients must be certified by our registered and licensed cannabis physicians.

Yes. New Jersey permits participating healthcare providers to conduct evaluations and manage qualifying conditions through telemedicine. CMed offers online NJ appointments.

CMed’s standard evaluation is $175 for new patients and $125 for renewals. Eligible veteran, industry, and minor patient rates are listed above. Separately, the state offers a free digital card or an optional $10 physical card.

New Jersey state cards are valid for two years. Your provider authorization has its own expiration date and may need renewal sooner.

Before your provider authorization expires. Authorizations may last up to 12 months, but your provider may recommend a shorter period or additional follow-up.

You may begin up to 60 days before your current card expires. Log in to the state patient portal and complete the renewal requirements.

An evaluation does not automatically require a new state application. Keep your existing registration active and renew it when due. Check both expiration dates.

Yes, subject to the receiving provider’s evaluation. Tell us you are transferring and provide your existing registry ID so the provider can coordinate the registry transfer.

The state’s published instructions assign the Patient Transfer action to the receiving provider. Complete any preparation requested by CMed and contact our team if your appointment instructions require clarification.

An approved evaluation alone is not sufficient. Your state registration and provider authorization must be active before you purchase as a registered medical patient.

Processing times vary. Monitor your application in the state portal and respond promptly to requests for corrections or additional documents.

Yes. Minors have additional requirements involving a parent or guardian and, where applicable, confirmation from a provider trained in pediatric care. Contact CMed before booking.

A registered caregiver can assist eligible patients with medicinal cannabis purchases. Caregivers must complete the applicable state registration requirements.

No. New Jersey currently does not permit patients or caregivers to grow cannabis at home.
