Dr. Barry Erlich

Dr. Barry Ehrlich, MD

Dr. Barry Erlich, MD, graduated from Brandeis University and Tufts Medical School. Although he completed a residency in Internal Medicine in San Francisco, he built his career in emergency and urgent care medicine, including two tenures as an emergency department director. For 22 years, he served as an urgent care physician at the Newton-Wellesley Hospital Waltham Walk-In Clinic, where he also supervised interns training in the clinic.
Throughout his career, Dr. Erlich has authored several brief articles and letters on various medical topics, including medicinal marijuana. His personal experience with one knee surgery and four back surgeries has given him firsthand insight into sciatica pain, physical therapy, steroid injections, nerve ablation, and medications used for pain and sleep management.
He has been part of the CannaCare Docs team since 2017.

State Registration

After receiving your evaluation with one of our trusted providers, you must register with the Massachusetts Medical Use of Marijuana Program. The processing time is generally completed within 7-14 business days. The card is valid for one year and requires annual renewal.
