Receive Medical Certification
Visit your healthcare provider to obtain a medical certification for medical
marijuana use.
Check Email
Keep an eye on your email inbox. Your provider will trigger an email with a
link to set up your account on the Ohio Medical Marijuana Registry
website.
Set Up Account
Click on the link provided in the email to set up your account. Follow the prompts to set your password.
Upload Documents
Upload pictures of your ID and, if required, proof of residency to complete
your registration process.
Pay Fee
Pay the non-refundable $50 fee using a valid payment method.
Download Digital Medical Card
Once approved, download your digital medical card. You can save it on
your mobile device and present it digitally or print it out for convenience.
Start Using Medical Marijuana
With your digital medical card, you can now access medical marijuana
from licensed dispensaries in Ohio.
The OMMCP application fee is $50 and non-refundable through the Ohio Medical Marijuana Registry. You can download your digital medical card to save on your mobile device or print it out. Ohio's Division of Cannabis Control does not issue physical cards. Medical marijuana cards are valid for one year from the date of issuance, and annual certification renewal through the state registry is required.
