Arrange a consultation with your healthcare provider to renew your
medical marijuana certification.
Receive Renewed Certification
After your consultation, receive a renewed certification from your provider,
which may include a new registry ID.
Complete the Renewal Application
Fill out the renewal application form on the portal, ensuring all
information about your medical condition and new certification is
updated.
Submit the Renewal Application
Submit the renewal application online. There is no fee for renewing your
medical marijuana card.
Wait for Approval
The New York State Office of Cannabis Management will review your
renewal application and typically respond within 10 business days.
Receive Updated Medical Marijuana Card
Once your renewal is approved, your updated medical marijuana card will
be mailed to you, valid for up to another year, depending on your medical
needs.
