This step-by-step guide walks you through the entire Michigan Medical Marijuana Program (MMMP) application process, from gathering your medical records to completing your online evaluation with CMed’s licensed providers. New Patient Instructions
Access the Portal
Visit the Michigan Cannabis Regulatory Agency online portal.
Create an Account
Click 'Create an Account' and follow the prompts to set up your account.
Enter your username or email and password to complete the process.
Start New Application
Navigate to the 'Registry Cards' tab and click on 'Create an Application.'
Accept General Disclaimer
Read the General Disclaimer, check the acceptance box, then click 'Continue Application.'
Select Application Type
From the 'Registry Cards' dropdown, select 'Patient Only Registry Application,' then click 'Continue Application.'
Verify Your Information
Choose 'Select from Account' to use the pre-entered details. Ensure your
mailing address is correct and continue.
Confirm Current Address
Verify your address details, select 'Yes' or 'No' to address changes, and
continue following the instructions based on your response.
Provide Proof of Residency
Select the type of Proof of Residency you will use, fill in the necessary
fields, and continue.
Upload Documents
Upload the required documents, including a Michigan State Issued Driver’s
License or other proof of residency and physician certification.
Physician Certification
Decide whether your physician will certify you online or if you will upload
a paper certification. You can find your physician's Michigan license
number on their official website or by asking the physician's office
directly.
Review and Submit Application
Review all entered information, read the attestation, check the box, and
click 'Continue Application.'
Make Payment
Choose your payment method, complete the required fields, and submit
your payment. Save the confirmation number for your records.

The state application fee is $40 and non-refundable. The Department processes applications within a few weeks of receiving both the application and payment.
