Getting your Georgia medical cannabis card through the Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) doesn’t have to be confusing. New Patient Instructions
Physician Registration
If deemed eligible, your physician will enter your information into the DPH’s secure “Low THC Oil Registry.” The physician completes this via an online form, including a waiver and the physician certification form.
Notification of Card Availability
You will be notified within 15 business days when your card is ready for pickup.
Card Pickup
Pick up your card at the designated public health office. The state representative will inform you of the closest location.
Authorize Pickup
If you are unable to pick up the card yourself, you may authorize
someone else to pick it up on your behalf with a signed authorization
form.
Pay the Registration Fee
Pay the $25 registration fee when you pick up your card.
Check Card Status
Use the link Check Low THC Oil Card Status to view the progress of your card’s preparation. Click here to check your status.

The state application fee is $25 and is non-refundable. The Department processes applications within 15 business days of receiving both the application and payment.
