Colorado State Med Card Registration
Renewing your Colorado medical cannabis card through the Colorado Medical Marijuana Registry is simple when you know the process. This guide walks existing patients through each CDPHE renewal step, from checking your expiration date with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment to scheduling your follow-up evaluation with CMed's licensed providers. Renewing Patient Instructions
Log into Your State Account
Log into your account on the Colorado Medical Marijuana Registry website. Click on Expired or Pending Renewal Status Click where it shows your status is expired or pending renewal.
Start Application
Scroll to the bottom of the patient registration and hit “Save and
Start Application.”
Update Your Information
Update your information as needed. Be sure to update the picture of your physical Colorado ID, if required.
Electronic Signature
Type your full name as it appears on your ID in the signature box. Click “Save and Continue” to Submit Patient Registration.
Provider Certification Tab
Navigate to the Provider Certification tab and select “+New”
Select the certification number in the drop-down menu. If the box is
empty, please call Relaxed Clarity.
At the bottom of the page, click “Save.” Patients must complete this step no later than 60 days after their visit.
Cultivation Tab
Navigate to the Cultivation tab and select “+New”
Answer all the questions provided.
Type your full legal name as it appears on your ID and click “Save.”
Caregiver Registration
If you have a caregiver (a person besides yourself or a dispensary), have your caregiver register online and give you their Caregiver ID to enter in the cultivation section. The caregiver must approve your request to continue.
Payment Tab
Navigate to the Payment tab and select “+New”
Select “Click here to pay” or upload a copy of your certified CO state tax return for the Fee and Tax-Exempt Waiver. Enter your credit card or check information. The state fee is $53.94.
When payment is complete, your status will be “Pending Staff Review” for up to three business days.
Receiving Your Card
After three business days, log into your state account.
Once logged in, select “Active.”
Select “Print Card” in the top left corner of your patient registration.
A PDF of your card will open or begin to download. Print your card and save it on your smartphone. Please check your dispensary for requirements. You will not receive a card in the mail. Do not cut, laminate, or resize the license.

The CDPHE application processing fee is $53.94 and non-refundable through the Colorado Medical Marijuana Registry. This fee is required each time you submit an application Ohio Medical Marijuana Registry. Medical marijuana cards are valid for one year from the date of issuance, and annual certification renewal through the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment is required.
