Renewing Patient Instructions
Prepare Your Documents
Ensure you have the following ready for your renewal:
- An up-to-date Arkansas State ID (driver's license or state ID)
- A recent Physician Written Certification on the ADH form
Log In to Your Account
Visit the Arkansas health department website and log into your
existing account.
Access the Renewal Section
Once logged in, navigate to the renewal section of your dashboard.
Update Your Information
Review and update any personal information as necessary. Make sure
every box outlined in red is completed:
- Confirm your Social Security Number
- Verify your military status
- Sign the form using your finger or mouse in the designated box
Upload Required Documents
Upload the latest images of your State ID and Physician Written
Certification.
Review Your Application
Verify your information is accurate to avoid any delays in processing.
Pay the Renewal Fee
With a credit or debit card (American Express not accepted),
complete the non-refundable $50.00 renewal fee.
Submit Your Renewal
Once all sections are complete and your payment is processed,
submit your renewal application.
Check on the Status
Keep an eye on the status of your renewal by logging into your
account. Processing may take up to 14 days.
Print Your New Card
Once your renewal is approved, you can print your new card directly
from the state website. A hard copy will also be mailed to your
registered address.

The state application fee is $50 and is non-refundable. The Arkansas Department of Health processes applications within 14 business days of receiving both the application and payment. Medical marijuana cards are valid for one year from the date of issuance, and annual certification
