To get a Nevada MMJ card, follow these steps:

1. Request a Medical Marijuana Patient Cardholder Registry Application online from the Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health
2. Fill out the patient portion of the application packet
3. Email the form to your provider, like CannaCare Docs, for certification
4. Once complete, you can:

• Upload the signed packet online
• Email it to the state
• Or mail it in

After review, you’ll be prompted to pay the $50 fee for 1 year or $100 for 2 years

The state mails your MMJ card within 7–10 business days

Initial MMJ evaluations typically cost $49–$79, depending on the provider and appointment type. Renewal appointments may be available at a lower rate.

To renew:

1. Start 30–45 days before expiration
2. Complete a new certification with your provider
3. Fill out a new application packet
4. Submit via mail, email, or upload
5. Pay the $50 (1 year) or $100 (2 years) fee

Your renewed card will be mailed in 7–10 business days after approval. 

Yes. Patients under 18 may apply if:

• Certified by a licensed provider

• A parent or legal guardian is designated as the caregiver

• All application materials are submitted together with supporting documentation

Caregivers must:

• Be 18 or older

• Be designated during the application process

• Submit a background check

• Assist only one patient at a time unless otherwise approved

They receive their own registry ID and are authorized to purchase and administer MMJ for their patient.

Once you submit the completed packet and payment:

• The Nevada DPBH typically processes your application in 7–10 business days
